If you are in crisis right now

Booniverse cannot help you in an emergency.

If you are thinking about ending your life, about seriously hurting yourself, or you are in immediate danger:

[[CONFIRM: check every number above is current for your launch markets before publishing, and add local lines for your primary markets.]]

Do not wait for a listener. Nobody is guaranteed to be online, and a Booniverse listener is not trained or equipped to keep you safe.

Booniverse is not healthcare

Booniverse is a peer support app. That means:

Nothing in Booniverse is medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis or treatment. That includes:

What this means for you

What we do when someone mentions self-harm

If our systems detect language suggesting self-harm or crisis, we show crisis resources in the app and log the event for our safety team to review. This is a best-effort safety measure, not a rescue service. It can miss things, it can be delayed, and it does not mean anyone has been dispatched to help you.

For listeners

If you volunteer as a listener:

No guarantee

We do not guarantee that a listener will be available, that any support you receive will be helpful, or that Booniverse will improve how you feel.
